Here is some of the work Susan is currently working on for 2017.

 

In the early stages of the process the clay is soft and malleable allowing Susan to add in the fine detail of the animal's features, after the model is dried and biscuit fired she can then add her colouring using oxides and stains. It will then be fired again to finalise the piece.
